Shipment Operator
An operator is an entity that performs specific actions within the shipment process. Operators handle different stages of managing, transporting, and handling goods as they move from the origin to the final destination. Each operator has distinct responsibilities and interacts with the shipment at various points in the supply chain.
Beyond their specific roles, each operator contributes to the aggregation of information about the shipment. However, each one can only add information relevant to their part of the process. No single operator has access to or control over all aspects of the shipment's data, ensuring distributed and secure handling of information.
